Saint Jacob of Nisibis
Sale
St. Jacob of Nisibis was a fourth-century bishop, ascetic, and miracle worker known for his holiness and for defending the Church in one of its early decisive periods. He is traditionally associated with the defense of orthodox Christianity during the Arian controversy and with the Council of Nicaea in 325, where the full divinity of Christ was upheld. He was also revered as a spiritual protector of the Christian community in Nisibis, and tradition remembers him as a wonderworker whose prayers helped defend the city during siege.
